TEHRAN – Expediency Council secretary Mohsen Rezaei has said that Israel’s silence suggests that there’s still hope in prideful return of Ahmad Motevaselian to Iran.

Rezaei made the remarks in an Instagram post on Wednesday after visiting Motevaselian’s mother.

A military attaché, Motevaselian was one of four Iranians who disappeared in Lebanon in 1982. Iranian officials believe they were kidnapped by Israel.

Rezaei also expressed hope that Motevaselian would be released soon to join the Iranian nation in celebrating "the disappearance of Israel which will happen within the next 25 years."
